RTX 3090

Another hectic launch! 

Most sites collapsed (again) due to the horde and very limited stock. I managed to placed an order for GALAX GeForce RTX 3090 SG (1-Click OC), 24GB with Scorptec. It was in stock but after receiving order confirmation, delivery is TBA.

If I lost the allocation, then I'll cancel the order and will just wait it out with my RTX 3080 pre-order with PLE.

26/09 update: I missed out on the launch stock allocation so I cancelled my order.

The new game, Starfield , is the first game that crashes my PC all the time. It seemed to suck out all 850W of my PC's PSU.  Well, Starfield is still buggy and un-optimised but as my RTX 4090 is recommended to have a 1000W PSU, I got the itch and upgraded PSU to  be quiet! PURE POWER 12 M 1200W . Installation was a breeze. I run 3DMark again and here's the latest score so connections seem to be all good (eg no unintentional cable disconnection): Hopefully, no more crashes when playing with Starfield in ultra settings. Salomon X Ultra 4 Mid GTX Men's Hiking Boots

My Keen Hiking shoe has now racked up close to 500km since 3 years from purchase. I reckon almost 400km was spent on various trails in Blue Mountains NSW. So I bought a backup hiking shoe which is a Salomon pair. I chose this particular Salomon model due to positive reviews. This boot is really light. I can't wait to break this in.
