PlayStation 5 Console

Our PS4 Pro is a bit noisy now, probably due to its aging mechanical hard-drive. 

Anyway, I managed to pre-order yesterday “PlayStation 5 Console” with EBGames (at $200 deposit) and did it just in time for Nov 12 launch delivery date. Whew!

Allocation is sold out worldwide and next pre-orders will have 2021 delivery. Ouch!

Yesterday:

Perhaps a week before Nov 12 launch date, I'll pop by EBGames to trade-in all our PS4 gear in exchange for credit which of course will go to PS5 payment completion.

The new game, Starfield , is the first game that crashes my PC all the time. It seemed to suck out all 850W of my PC's PSU.  Well, Starfield is still buggy and un-optimised but as my RTX 4090 is recommended to have a 1000W PSU, I got the itch and upgraded PSU to  be quiet! PURE POWER 12 M 1200W . Installation was a breeze. I run 3DMark again and here's the latest score so connections seem to be all good (eg no unintentional cable disconnection): Hopefully, no more crashes when playing with Starfield in ultra settings. Salomon X Ultra 4 Mid GTX Men's Hiking Boots

My Keen Hiking shoe has now racked up close to 500km since 3 years from purchase. I reckon almost 400km was spent on various trails in Blue Mountains NSW.
