RTX 3090 (attempt #2)

I finally nabbed an RTX 3090 GPU! It's Zotac GAMING GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity 24GB and it will be coming from Scorptec. I placed the order at 2:24pm and it was marked ready to be dispatched by 4:26pm.

Thanks to the good people at Whirlpool for the heads up. The stock was quickly depleted after a forum posting.

The new game, Starfield , is the first game that crashes my PC all the time. It seemed to suck out all 850W of my PC's PSU.  Well, Starfield is still buggy and un-optimised but as my RTX 4090 is recommended to have a 1000W PSU, I got the itch and upgraded PSU to  be quiet! PURE POWER 12 M 1200W . Installation was a breeze. I run 3DMark again and here's the latest score so connections seem to be all good (eg no unintentional cable disconnection): Hopefully, no more crashes when playing with Starfield in ultra settings. Salomon X Ultra 4 Mid GTX Men's Hiking Boots

My Keen Hiking shoe has now racked up close to 500km since 3 years from purchase. I reckon almost 400km was spent on various trails in Blue Mountains NSW.
