Macbook Pro 2019 doesn’t like front HDMI port of Marantz NR-1509

MBP 2019 works ok connected direct to tv or to any rear hdmi ports of A/V receiver, Marantz NR-1509. But not with the front hdmi port of the receiver.

Using same cable, front hdmi port works fine with other sources like PS4, Apple TV, or Xiaomi media player but just not with MBP. 

Still scratching my head.
